The area is known to many as "the green island" because of its different shades of green that are displayed in the tea and tobacco plantations, in the forests or in the large meadows. Ponta Delgada offers its visitors a mix of contemporary life and historical flavor. Its centenary buildings and monuments take us back centuries.

Lisbon or Porto - São Miguel (Visit to Ponta Delgada)
Day 1: Appearance at the respective airport 2 hours before departure for boarding formalities. Departure on a regular Azores Airlines flight, bound for the island of São Miguel. Assisted disembarkation by the Nortravel guide who accompanies the trip and private transportation in a tourist bus to the hotel. At a time to be combined, a walking tour of the city of Ponta Delgada: “Portas do Mar”, Igreja de São Pedro, Mercado da Graça, Portas da Cidade, Igreja Matriz de São Sebastião, Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Conceição (Paroquial de São José), the Campo de São Francisco and the Santuário do Santo Cristo, where an important religious manifestation takes place. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
Furnas, with "cozido" lunch, Caldeira Velha and Lagoa do Fogo
Day 2: Buffet breakfast. Start of the full-day visit. Stop in the first capital of the island, Vila Franca do Campo, with time to walk along the beach and marina; continuation to Furnas, to visit the "Caldeiras" (Fumarolas das Furnas) - a volcanic phenomenon with unique characteristics - and the romantic Terra Nostra park (with the possibility of an alternative bath in the thermal pool of iron waters, at over 30 degrees). Move to the picturesque Lagoa das Furnas, from whose margins the "Cozido" will be removed from the holes in the ground. Lunch of "Cozido das Furnas", served at the Restaurante Casino do Hotel Terra Nostra. Climb to the Miradouro do Pico do Ferro, for an unforgettable panoramic view of the entire area, and continuation to the tea plantations, with a visit to the Fábrica Gorreana and a tasting of green, pekoe and orange pekoe teas. In the Serra de Água do Pau, visit the "Caldeira Velha" (entry included - visit ticket) and stop at the viewpoint over the Lagoa do Fogo and the surrounding landscape. Return to Ponta Delgada. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Sete Cidades and Pineapple Plantation
Day 3: Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning free for personal activities or participation in optional activities, such as whale and dolphin watching, swimming with dolphins, equestrian show at a farm, in the north of the island. Lunch at a well-known local restaurant. Start of the visit to the western part of São Miguel, with a climb to the mountainous massif of Sete Cidades. Stop at the viewpoints of Pico de Carvão and Vista do Rei, from where you can observe the Lagoa Azul and Verde. Descent to the base of the crater that surrounds the lagoon, to visit the Lagoa de Santiago and the idyllic parish of Sete Cidades. Exit the crater and continuation to the Miradouro do Escalvado, for a view of the western end of the island, namely the lava fajãs of Mosteiros and Ferraria. Surrounding the island, passing through the rural parishes of the municipality of Ponta Delgada. On the return to the city, visit a pineapple plantation in a greenhouse. Nordeste - Povoação - Ribeira Quente
Day 4: Buffet breakfast at the hotel and start of the full-day visit. After crossing the island, pass through the fishing village of Rabo de Peixe and visit the northern city of Ribeira Grande, for contact with baroque-influenced architecture. Free time to discover local products, namely the Bombons of the well-known brand "O Chocolatinho". Stop at the viewpoint of Santa Iria, for a wide panoramic view of the north coast of the island. Continuation to the municipality of Nordeste, considered the most flowery of the Azores, with its known gardens and waterfalls. Stop at the natural park of Ribeira dos Caldeirões, with the "Véu da Noiva" waterfall, in the town of Nordeste, with a walking tour of the center and at the viewpoint and garden of "Ponta do Sossego". In the municipality of Povoação, where the settlement of the island of São Miguel began, lunch will be served, at a local restaurant. Continuing through a scenic road, descent to the well-known fishing village of Ribeira Quente (stop at the beach). Return to Ponta Delgada. Dinner at the hotel, followed by a cultural evening, with traditional and contemporary Azorean music. Accommodation.
